Les Goldstein is the founder and president of Personal Financial Strategies, Inc., located in Park Ridge, IL. Les' mission is to help all Personal Financial Strategies, Inc. clients create a retirement lifestyle for themselves and to leave a meaningful financial legacy for their loved ones. This includes identifying our clients' personal financial needs, wants and wishes, building and monitoring proper asset allocation structures, helping to generate the income needed during retirement, helping to lower income taxes, and preserving their assets for their beneficiaries.
Les has been in the financial services industry since 1983. A former vice president with a major investment firm, Les is now an independent financial consultant with a financial-planning investment firm. This independence gives Les and his associates the ability to properly advise clients without the need to sell a certain investment or insurance product or generate a certain level of commissions or fees.
In addition to working with a select group of families in the Chicago area, Les is also an Adult Education Educator at Oakton College in Skokie, and Wright College in Chicago, where he teaches courses in retirement and financial planning. He also is a frequent lecturer in the Chicago public library system and at Smart Money conferences sponsored by the Illinois State Treasurer's office.
Les holds his investment licenses through Securities America Corporation, a member firm of the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) and the Securities Investor Protection Corporation (SIPC). Les and Personal Financial Strategies, Inc. are members of the Financial Planning Association and the Million Dollar Round Table, an organization dedicated to educating insurance professionals in order to better serve the needs of the public.
Les' academic background includes two Bachelor of Arts degrees from Indiana University and a Masters degree in Business Administration from the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana. He lives on the northwest side of Chicago with his wife Lisa and his sons Jared and Michael. His hobbies include playing and coaching basketball, reading, fishing, skiing and spending quality time with family and friends.
Les believes that the key to the success of PFS' clients is based upon the depth of the personal relationship that we have with each and every client. Financial planning and investment management is not "One size fits all", and it will never be that way at PFS. "We Care Moretm" is not just a phrase that we trademarked. It is what we live by, each and every day of our lives.
